About me
Tiffany is the founder of Sanctuary, a home organizing business based in Madison, Wisconsin.
She grew up in rural Wisconsin and eventually made her way to New York City, where she pursued a degree in Fashion Merchandising Management at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Between classes (and many late nights), she worked in visual merchandising — designing in-store and window displays for brands like Bloomingdale’s and Club Monaco, and later joining Kate Spade corporate to help open new retail locations across the country.
After seven fast-paced years in NYC, Tiffany felt the pull toward a slower life, more space, and a deeper sense of home. She returned to the Midwest and began working at Lands’ End in the Home division, designing products like decorative pillows and blankets — combining creativity with an in-depth understanding of how people live in and use their spaces.
Then life shifted.
A breast cancer diagnosis changed her perspective and made one thing clear: she wanted more balance, more flexibility, and work that felt deeply meaningful. That turning point became the beginning of Sanctuary — a business rooted in the belief that our homes are not just places to store things, but spaces that can truly support our health, energy, and well-being.
Today, Tiffany helps clients declutter, edit, and create organizing systems that feel intuitive, functional, and inspiring. Her approach blends visual design expertise, deep product knowledge, and a passion for sustainability — offering thoughtful guidance for those who want healthier, more eco-conscious choices in both home and personal care.
At Sanctuary, the goal is simple: to create spaces that feel lighter, easier to maintain, and restorative — a true sanctuary for real life.
Fun facts: Tiffany can’t start her day without coffee, will always say yes to Italian food, and considers hiking, yoga, and a good sauna essential forms of self-care. She loves disappearing into a great sci-fi or fantasy book, and firmly believes a Wisconsin supper club is a cultural treasure. Her happiest moments are spent with her husband Matt, their 5-year-old son Connor, and their yellow lab puppy, Cedar.
At Sanctuary our philosophy is simple:
We believe organizing isn’t about perfection or creating a minimalist home. It’s about thoughtfully shaping your environment so it truly supports how you live.
Our homes evolve as our lives change. Children grow, routines shift, hobbies come and go, and the things that once served us may no longer fit the season we’re in.
One of the questions I often ask clients is:
What supports me in this season of life?
From there, we simplify decisions by asking:
• Do I love it?
• Do I use it?
• Does it support how I’m living right now?
If something doesn’t fall into one of those categories, it may simply be clutter.
In a culture that constantly encourages us to accumulate more, it’s easy for our homes to quietly fill with things that no longer serve us. But the greatest transformation most people experience doesn’t come from buying more organizing products — it comes from thoughtfully editing what’s already there.
Having less simply means:
• less to manage
• less to clean and put away
• less storage required
• less visual overwhelm
This doesn’t mean becoming an extreme minimalist. It simply means being intentional about what we choose to keep.
Your home should tell the story of your life and reflect the things that bring you joy and inspiration.
Maybe that looks like a cozy nook where you can curl up with your latest novel, a small art space that invites you to pull out your paint brushes, or a welcoming guest room where you love hosting friends and family.
Our spaces should be used thoughtfully — not simply to hold things we no longer need.
Letting go of what no longer serves you isn’t about loss. It’s about creating room for something better.
When our homes align with our lives, they become what they were always meant to be — a place of calm, inspiration, and restoration.
A true sanctuary.
