Join the team.

Sanctuary is a growing home organizing company that helps people create spaces that feel beautiful, functional, and inspiring. We offer editing and organizing services, as well as moving support, all through the lens of interior design.

I’m looking for my very first team member—an Organizing Assistant—to grow alongside me as Sanctuary expands. This role will begin as a 1099 position with flexible part-time hours (minimum of 10 hours per week, weekdays between 9–5), with the potential to grow into part-time or full-time employment.

    • Support on-site projects: decluttering, organizing, and styling spaces

    • Assist with moves, including packing, unpacking, and setting up new spaces

    • Follow instructions carefully and provide reliable support on projects

    • Assist with light furniture assembly (heavier projects are handled by a handyman)

    • Complete product pickups and returns as needed

    • Handle donation, recycling, and trash drop-offs

    • Learn and apply Sanctuary’s organizing methods and professional touches to deliver a polished client experience

    • Receive on-the-job training in Sanctuary’s organizing process and design-forward approach

    • Dedicate time outside of projects to build your knowledge of:

      • Different organizing methodologies

      • Recognizing and supporting clients with chronic disorganization and ADHD

      • Other niches within the organizing field

    • Bring curiosity, fresh ideas, and a growth mindset to elevate your skills as Sanctuary grows and potentially take on projects independently

    • A natural ability to organize and a genuine interest in interior design

    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills—warm, professional, and people-focused

    • Reliability, flexibility, and willingness to pitch in wherever needed

    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (bonus if you’re comfortable lifting more)

    • Comfort with light furniture assembly and hands-on project support

    • A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license for travel to client appointments in Madison and surrounding areas

    • Minimum availability of 10 hours/week, scheduled based on project needs and your availability

    • Bonus Experience: Prior work in professional organizing, interior design, or related fields

Why Join Sanctuary?

This is a unique opportunity to join a small but growing company at the ground level. You’ll work directly alongside me (the owner) and play a hands-on role in helping clients transform their homes. As Sanctuary grows, you’ll receive mentorship, opportunities for training, increasing responsibility- including the potential to manage projects independently. If you are passionate about organizing, design, and helping people thrive in their homes, I’d love to hear from you!
